There is no doubt that Roblox has established itself as one of the most profitable properties within the world of video games, making its creators even happier after having overcome the barrier of one billion dollars in revenue from downloads to mobile devices, according to information provided by by the analysis company Sensor Tower.
Thus, the entertainment and game development platform registered a total of 290 million downloads, accumulated among the official iOS and Android stores.
It is worth noting that most of the revenue generated came from the United States with a total of $677 million dollars, equivalent to 67%, while other countries such as the United Kingdom contributed 9%, equivalent to $89 million dollars of the remaining amount.
Monthly revenues from the mobile sector are increasing, with a total of 143 million dollars generated in the third quarter of 2019 compared to 118 million dollars in the second quarter.
Regarding the total number of downloads, it is estimated that 75% of them were made from Android devices, although it could be confirmed that iOS users are more willing to spend more money on the game, taking into account that 76% of the revenue came from iPhone and iPad.
There is no doubt that Roblox has reflected a remarkable growth during the last years in which during 2018 the platform obtained a total of 335 million dollars from expenses made by players, constituting a 700% increase.
Until November of last year, Roblox had obtained a cumulative amount of 435 million dollars, reflecting a growth of 30% in inter-annual terms.
It is estimated that monthly spending by Roblox players reached a record $50 million in August last year.
Statistics show that Roblox has remained among the top 5 revenue generators in the US for the past 3 quarters, as well as in the top 10 since the beginning of 2018.
